My Story
As an actor and director, my mission is to give life to authentic characters through a variety of mediums and techniques. My journey started in 2019, when I was cast as Benjamin in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat at the Midland Center for the Arts. After just two weeks of rehearsal, I was certain: this is what I am meant to do. After playing 13 sold out shows in Midland, Michigan, I was fully infected with the theater bug. I continued to perform in musicals at the Midland Center for the Arts until Covid-19 halted all performances. Throughout Covid, I was honored to perform for 37 straight weeks over zoom through the venue of Shakespeare and Chill! LIVE on the Midland Center for the Arts facebook page, led by director and producer Dexter Brigham. This series of all works in Shakespeare’s canon gave me a fantastic introduction to Shakespeare, and I fell even further in love. Over the course of the series, we rehearsed for hours every Thursday, and performed every Friday evening for those 37 weeks, reaching over 100,000 total views. I then performed as an actor in graveyard tours with the Midland County Historical Society, while indoor performances were still on hold. At the end of 2021, I continued my musical theater journey, performing in She Loves Me, and in 2022, The Sponge Bob Musical. 2021 was also a special time for me, in that I directed at my first play festival at Creative 360 in Midland, Michigan. This foray into the world of directing left me hooked on a new form of theater creation, adding directing to my interests as well as acting.
In 2022, I took my theater journey to the next level, starting college as an Acting B.F.A major at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. I loved my program and was confident I was on the right path, but felt that something was missing. My desire for a broader theater experience led me to transfer, starting in 2023 as a Theater and Performance B.F.A major at Emerson College, in Boston, Massachusetts.
During my time at Emerson, I focused on honing my skills and discovering what made me tick. I grew as a performer, director, and all around theater maker. I took a wide variety of classes, from foundational courses in voice, movement, and scene study, to more specialized courses in close quarters combat and writing/directing/performing a solo show. I continued my study of Shakespeare with a summer course in London in 2025, and an additional summer course at Emerson’s Kasteel Well campus in 2026.
The wide range of opportunities in the Theater and Performance B.F.A allowed me to spread my wings, and grow into the actor and director I am today. As a Summer 2026 graduate of Emerson College, I now am continuing to hone my skills outside of the traditional umbrella of a collegiate program, studying stage combat, directing, acting, piano, vocal technique, and more.
